About the Host – Kiruba Shankar

Kiruba Shankar is a digital strategist, entrepreneur, educator, and Co-owner of Vaksana Farms. With three decades of experience as a professor, he has taught at IIT Madras, IIM Bangalore and Great Lakes Institute of Management. He is the author of eight books.

Through Vaksana Farms, his vision is to create a space where children and families can reconnect with nature, learn practical life skills, and experience sustainable living through hands-on farm activities.

Our Team

Vaksana Farms is run by a close-knit team that cares deeply for the land and the people who visit. The farm is managed by Kiruba Shankar’s elderly parents, Kasthuri Amma and Sivaraman Appa, whose warmth and experience shape the spirit of the farm.

They are supported by a dedicated team of 10 local women who work at the farm, helping maintain the gardens, care for the animals, and support daily activities. Together, this caring community helps ensure that every child visiting the farm feels safe, welcomed, and well looked after.
